1. Ivan Smith is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning sculptor. As Artist in Residence at Derby College he had planned a one-week exhibition at the Q-Arts gallery. The theme was the surveillance society. Ivan built a performance space in the centre of the gallery. He would live in this space 24 hours a day for a week.
2. Actionstream set up a 24/7 live webcast which switched automatically between the outputs from the monitors in the gallery, controlled by the visitors. This enabled thousands of Internet viewers to experience the event.
3. Sponsors included the Henry Moore Foundation, the University of Derby, Derby City Council and East Midland Arts.
